The Team Approach
The foundation of our approach is multi-disciplinary treatment planning and patient-centered care. At Breastlink, allied professionals—radiologists, oncologists, plastic surgeons, nutritionists, researchers, psychotherapists and others—coordinate care based on each patient’s unique situation. By pulling these experts together, we are able to deliver the benefits of sub-specialty medicine without the cost structure and legacy interests found in many hospitals and/or universities.
What Patients Receive
- A trained, dedicated “navigator,” who guides the patient to all services across the continuum of care—from diagnosis, through treatment, into recovery and beyond.
- Treatment planning conference to identify treatment goals and to weigh the benefits of various interventions.
- Services on the same day as the screening mammogram.
- Thorough and multi-channel patient education on all topics, from routine breast exams to second opinions and breast cancer.
- Higher-quality imaging from the most advanced equipment available, including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography), and breast MRI.
- State-of-the-art information on diagnosis and treatment, including the latest advances from clinical trials.
- Individual and family psychotherapy sessions.
- A range of options on surgical procedures, corresponding to risk assessment and evidence-based research.
- Comprehensive “survivorship” treatment, including oncology, reconstructive, and therapeutic services.
Financial Flexibility
Breastlink works with insurance companies and other payors (including self-pay) to manage the financial aspects of treatment. For example, we can negotiate for case rate reimbursement for managing the disease rather than payment on a per procedure basis.

RadNet & Research
The cure rate for breast cancer has increased from 55% to 90% in the last 30 years, thanks to research.
Many of the medical and surgical treatments used today in fighting cancer are the result of what the medical community has learned through clinical research trials. Breastlink Research Group has a long history of working with research entities searching for new and better treatment options. We actively incorporate clinical trials into our programs.
